KYB & AML Onboarding

Speed up business onboarding. Cut unnecessary AML reviews.

Decision Deck Extract (DDX) brings company documents, ownership details and screening results into one customer file, with links to the original records. Decision Deck uses that file to check potential matches, assess risk and send cases to the right team.

Policy Guard prevents an account from opening until the required checks and approvals are complete. Evidence Vault keeps the decision history.

  • See what needs checkingShow the missing document or possible match so staff know what to investigate.
  • Keep a record of every onboarding decisionRecord the documents checked, the rules applied and the person who made the decision.
One business. Three possible outcomes.

What happens when the customer file changes?

Compare three versions of the same fictional application: a missing ownership record, a screening hit that turns out to be someone else, and a confirmed politically exposed person (PEP). Each needs a different response.

Start with DDX

DDX brings company records and screening results into one file.

Company records, ownership details and screening results often arrive in different files and systems. DDX reads them, connects the people to the companies and flags information that does not agree. Staff can open the original document behind each finding. When a new record arrives, DDX updates the customer file.

New information updates the working customer file. Earlier decisions stay on record. In a self-hosted deployment, the documents, models and decisions stay inside your own environment.

How each case is handled

Different problems need different actions.

A missing ownership document needs a document request. A possible screening match needs an identity check. A confirmed PEP needs enhanced due diligence and the appropriate approval. The onboarding team gets a clear next step for each case.

01 / Identify

Find out who owns and controls the business.

DDX reads the company register and ownership forms. Matching checks whether names across those records and screening results refer to the same people. Any ownership detail that has not been confirmed is flagged for review.

02 / Assess

Tell the difference between a risky customer and a missing document.

Risk Stratification considers the business, its owners, where it operates and what screening found. It also flags cases where key documents are missing, so staff know when they cannot yet give the customer a reliable risk rating.

03 / Direct

Send each case to the right team.

Case Triage sends missing documents back to onboarding, confirmed PEP cases to compliance and straightforward cases to normal approval. It takes urgency and the available staff into account.

04 / Control

Stop account opening until the required checks are complete.

Policy Guard checks your AML rules before an account is opened, including who must approve the case. Evidence Vault saves the documents, checks, decisions and the names of staff who reviewed them.

Check the results

Can you approve customers sooner with less manual work?

Compare DDX with your current process. Measure how long it takes to approve a complete application, how accurately staff resolve screening hits and how many cases each analyst can finish. Check that the required AML rules and approvals were followed.

01 / Approval time

Time to approve a business

Compare the time from a completed application to the final approval.

02 / Match quality

Correctly resolved screening matches

Check how often false matches are ruled out and genuine matches are identified.

03 / Analyst capacity

Cases completed per analyst

Include time spent chasing documents, checking false matches and repeating work.

04 / Control

A record of every approval

Check that each case has the documents, screening results, applied rules and sign-offs.

First test

Business customer onboarding

  • Company records, owners and the documents required to verify them
  • Current sanctions and PEP results, including past review decisions
  • Your current risk rules and who may approve each case
  • Previously reviewed applications to compare decisions, errors and staff time
Where to start

Start with one type of business customer.

Choose one customer group, the documents they submit and your current screening supplier. Agree what counts as a complete application and who must approve each outcome.

Test DDX against cases your analysts have already reviewed, then compare accuracy and time spent. Later, add repeat checks and changes in business ownership.

Illustrative examples throughout. Exact checks depend on your AML policy.
